The NFL is NOT “WOKE!”
There is this new default position that has many Americans claiming that virtually everything that they disagree with is “woke.” Claiming the NFL or anything that changes, or anything that expresses any form of sensitivity is “woke” is a simple, non-thinking default position.
Conservative anchor Greg Kelly on Newmax is promoting a boycott of the NFL because “Football is gay…Football is queer…Football is transgender.” That is a stupid comment designed to feed red meat to that zoo of right-wing conservatives who are in a panic over America being “woke.”
How is the football gay, queer, and transgender? It makes zero sense. Football is not gay, queer, or transgender and I opened the lines on my talk show today to give listeners an opportunity to explain to me how football is all of the aforementioned and I did not receive one call - not one! That’s because the statement made by this right-wing anchor is absurd.
I did receive a call from a listener who brought back the NFL putting END RACISM and END HATE in the end zones in stadiums, but that’s not woke. A text from a listener said they were offended by those messages in the end zones. If the thought of ending racism and hate are offensive to you, then why in the hell are you at a game played by about 75% Black players?
Sadly, there are Americans who do not want to end racism or hate because they thrive on promoting racism and hate as part of their political agenda and ultimately, part of their mission in life. But, again, if you support racism and hate, why are you at a game dominated by Black players? It makes NO SENSE!
