Election Day is two weeks from today; and as that day of reckoning gets closer, President Trump’s predictions get crazier. To Americans that possess any degree of common sense, the President’s wild predictions of what will happen if Joe Biden wins the election lead to the strong conclusion that President Trump is coming unhinged.
Trump’s warning that America will become a socialist nation run by the most progressive thinkers on the left and that cities will be burned down if Biden wins is beyond absurd. Instilling the fear that police departments across the country will be disbanded and law and order will become a free-for-all in cities and in suburbs is not based on any reasonable information.
Trump also says that under a President Biden, the suburbs will disappear and “religion will be gone” from American society. The President predicted that if Biden wins, “China will own the United States” and Americans will be forced to “learn Chinese.”
Of all the dire predictions President Trump has made through mostly unchallenged interviews on The Fox News Channel, at rallies and through his Twitter account, Trump’s warning at a rally in Carson City, Nevada over the weekend that Joe Biden will cancel Christmas is the most laughable of all. Trump told his supporters at the rally that if Biden wins, “The Christmas season will be canceled.”
Let’s first diffuse the ridiculousness of the prediction by stating the obvious well-known FACT: if Biden wins the election he will not become president until January 20, 2021. How would he be in a position to cancel Christmas?
If President Trump is so smart and such a capable leader, then how can it be justified that makes such baseless and radical predictions? Do Trump’s loyal political allies, like Congressman Steve Scalise, Senators John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy, believe that if Biden wins Christmas will be canceled? It is difficult to believe that they would hold such a stupid notion as real; but sadly, it is Trump’s loyal political allies that refuse to be honest about a man they appear to fear. Those who fail to counter the most ridiculous claims by the President are complicit and take some ownership in the absurdity.
Since we still have two weeks until the election, let’s think of more warnings President Trump might come up with to scare everyone about Biden becoming president. What will President Biden do if he is elected?
Cancel Easter.
Cancel Groundhog Day - mistreatment of a helpless animal.
Cancel Memorial Day - Biden will want to stop the memories of any wars.
Cancel Fourth of July - we will no longer celebrate a flawed country.
Cancel Thanksgiving - it’s wrong to celebrate the beginning of America.
Ban all sports because one team is always a loser.
And Americans will no longer be allowed to make a right turn on red.
More frightening than the desperate, nonsensical predictions being made by President Trump, is the reality that many proud Americans have given up their rights to be independent thinkers and are drinking the Kool-Aid.
