In 2016, VICE magazine reported that Taylor Swift was a "pure Aryan goddess" by neo-Nazis. Andrew Anglin, a white supremacist blogger speculated that Taylor Swift was "waiting for the time when Donald Trump makes it safe for her to come out and announce her Aryan agenda to the world. Probably, she will be betrothed to Trump's son, and they will be crowned American royalty." (Though those who promote Aryan pride are generally conservatives - not all conservatives promote Aryan pride.)
In 2018, Swift broke her political silence by endorsing two Democrats running in the midterm elections and she also aligned herself with the fight for LGBTQ rights, gender equality, and ending "terrifying, sickening and prevalent" racism in the United States.
Taylor Swifts' endorsement of Democrats and issues more associated with liberals came as a shock to the many who expected her to be a conservative.
Since she started dating Kelce, Swift has often shared a stadium suite with Kelce's family and Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany. Swift's mass appeal made her eye-candy for the cameras at the NFL games she attended and this past Sunday, Swift was in a suite at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. On our talk show today, one caller said it might be that dudes are booing because they are fed up with their girlfriends or wives being so enamored with her.
Another listener said that Swift is being booed by the MAGA people. I also received an email that went into detail about the booing coming from Trump supporters. In the email the listener writes, Taylor Swift "threatens Trump because she has millions of followers and is helping to register voters - she is outspoken about the danger to our democracy if this wanna-be dictator gets back into power."
The booing has also been blamed on her distraction from football. I have had calls and texts from people who say they "just wanna watch the football game and don't want to be distracted by Taylor Swift." Well, let's be honest about this. Taylor Swift's attendance at Chiefs' games does not distract from the game because if Swift is shown on the big screen at the stadium, it's following a play involving her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. How does that distract from the game?
The most logical reason that Taylor Swift is booed when she is shown on the big screen in stadiums is because her political views are not conservative. Americans love hating or loving people because of their political views. There has always been political divide and competition in America, but never before in modern times has the motivation to hate and denounce someone because of their politics, been greater.
