
A line of strong storms moved through Wednesday night, knocking out power to thousands of people across Southeast Louisiana, downing some trees and causing scattered damage.
The system moved east of the region around 10:00pm.
Entergy reported 9,600 outages in the state. The highest number of outages was in Tangipahoa, St. Charles Parish and Baton Rouge.
CLECO had more than 700 customers out in St. Tammany and Washington Parish.
Local officials will assess damage in the morning.
