With infection rates at extreme levels, the state of Louisiana has released its Sunday two-day count.
New cases average roughly 2500 a day for a grand total of 5,413 new cases recorded.
The new cases are more than ten-percent across 52,294 tests.
There are 40 new deaths to report over the past two days putting the state total at 7,873.
In all there are 346,829 total cases diagnosed. There are 280,373 presumed recovered from the coronavirus.
