Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards will take part in a virtual town hall Wednesday.
The Advocate is hosting the event.
"He will answer questions submitted by readers about Louisiana's current surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations," Edwards' office said in a news release. "The town hall will be shown live on gov.louisiana.gov, theadvocate.com and NOLA.com."
It comes a day after Louisiana saw a record number of COVID patients in hospitals and two days after Edwards issued a state-side mask mandate, hoping to slow the spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
It starts at 11:30am.
