On a show where a few riled-up, hate-fueled conservatives voice their grievances, a first-time-caller, Brother Reid, a pastor at Wesley Chapel, a United Methodist Church in Ponchatoula, called in with a message directed to all of the Christian listeners who are freaking out about drag queens and transgender people. It was a message that resonated with our overall audience and sparked instant reaction.

"We have our faith so we dont have to stress out," Brother Reid said. "The Bible tells us not to worry, to give it all up, to give it all to God... all this worry about transgender. If we have people that are sinning, we're supposed to pray for them, and give it to God... we shouldn't have to stress over this, this is why we have our faith."

Reid stressed that it is not for the Christian faithful to acrimoniously insert themselves into every controversy about their fellow man when they could just show their faith with their works instead.

"If you feel like you're being persecuted, the Bible says to pray for those who persecute you. Go to the Bible, give it up to God, and move on! If you can't give it up, write your angst down on a piece of paper and then burn it so you can't take it back!"
