A two-year-old boy in Southaven Mississippi is now safe after his parents allegedly abandoned the toddler at a Goodwill.
A Southaven Police Department report, says “On December 14, 2020, at approximately 9:40 AM, a child was abandoned at the Goodwill drop off location at 57 Stateline Road East in Southaven.
“The suspect, a light-skinned black male wearing black jogging pants and a black cowboy hat, dropped the child off with a plastic bag containing a change of clothes and a note. The suspect then left the scene on foot,” the report said.
They say the two year old was unable to give his name or the names of his parents. The toddler is now safe with Child Protective Services.
Surveillance video at the Goodwill and tips from the community led to the apprehension of a man and woman involved in the incident according to police.
