There is a huge problem with violent crime New Orleans.
Recently, NOPD was able to find and arrest a suspect due to ankle monitoring of the suspect by an electronic monitoring company, NOT law enforcement. Had it not been for that company, who knows if 33-year-old Tyree Quinn would be in custody or not? If the system had worked properly from the beginning perhaps Uber driver Andrew Stiller and his passenger would still be alive.
Matt Dennis owns the monitoring company that helped NOPD locate the suspect. He makes the information available, free, to keep the city safer. He’s imbedded in the system and knows what works and what doesn’t. He spent an hour with us this morning and had some important things to say. He described it as a "clown show." Do you feel the same way?
