After a string of severe thunderstorm cells triggered tornado warnings late this morning and early this afternoon, we saw a lull for a couple of hours.
That ended with another round of tornado warnings this afternoon.
The National Weather Service says there was a confirmed tornado east of Abita Springs at 3:00pm.
"Take cover if you are in this area!" forecasters warned.
Heavy rain triggered flooding in the same area.
There was also a tornado warning in St. Charles Parish.
Flooding was reported in St. John and St. Charles as well.
