After a brief warm-up yesterday, Thursday temperatures drop back down to near-freezing temperatures.
WWLTV’s Meteorologist Payton Malone says, “Thursday will be chilly in the low to mid-40s with plenty of clouds and breezy north winds. A few light showers remain possible throughout the day.
Tonight will another cold one with a hard freeze north of the lake where temperatures will drop to near 25 degrees. Southshore, Bayou, and River Parishes will likely see a light freeze. Protect people, plants, pets, and pipes north of the lake, but elsewhere you don't have to worry about pipes. We also need to watch for light-freezing drizzle Friday morning. It's not a guarantee, but it's something we need to watch.”
