Today is the final day of summer.
"It'll be hot and humid with a few showers and t-storms," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts. "Highs will climb to around 90 degrees with heat indices in the upper 90s."
He says we'll see a cold front move in late tonight and early tomorrow morning as autumn arrives. The real cool air gets here on Thursday.
"An almost chilly morning with lows in the 50s and 60s Thursday morning and highs in the 70s under sunny skies! This gorgeous weather arrives perfectly timed with the start of Fall on Wednesday. The good feel air and cooler temps stick around through the weekend, with a slight increase in humidity by Sunday and Monday...although remaining pleasant."
