"We're going to stay pretty cold," said LSU Health Climatologist Barry Keim.
Keim says this won't be one of those one-and-done cold spells, but there will be a gradual increase in temperatures.
"Well, it's going to be a very slow progression towards warmer temperatures between now and Sunday," he said. "Just kind of creeping up, three, four, five degrees every day."
And before you know it, temperatures will drop again.
"Then by the time we get into Tuesday of next week another front's going to come through, and it's going to plunge us back into some pretty chilly temperatures," said Keim.
