Cold and windy for Monday with clear skies but a freeze watch will be in effect for parts of the New Orleans Metro area later tonight and into Tuesday.
WWLTV’s Dave Nussbaum says, “The cold blast arrives today with an area of high pressure. It will become sunny, windy and colder with high temperatures only in the lower 50s. The winds will be around 15-25 mph gusting to 35 mph, so a Wind Advisory is in effect until 5 PM. Tonight will be clear, cold and frosty. Lows north fall to the upper 20s with a light freeze. A Freeze Warning is in effect from 10 PM until 8 AM Tuesday. Protect your plant, pets and people. This is NOT pipe bursting weather. The Southshore will fall to the upper 30s, and if the winds calm down we will have some patchy frost. Protect your plants. Bundle up!”
