Drier air bringing more bearable conditions to area

Sunrise
Ian Auzenne/WWL

Expect less humid conditions today and throughout the week. That's thanks to the weak front that brought rain to the New Orleans area over the weekend. That front also brought drier air, which will help keep conditions more bearable than they have been over the last couple of weeks. Still, you'll feel mugginess as you work or play outside, so take your usual heat precautions. However, you'll be able to enjoy the outdoors a little better thanks to the less humid air.

Daily high temperatures will be in the low- to mid-90s. While we won't see any washouts, you may see a pop-up shower or thunderstorm each day this week.
