Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall Tuesday afternoon.
"Edouard made landfall near Johnson Bayou, Louisiana, at 2:20 p.m.," the hurricane center said.
The storm's maximum winds at landfall were around 60 miles per hour.
While the hurricane center earlier discontinued the storm surge warnings associated with Edouard, forecasters advise tides can run three to five feet above normal.
