The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory.
"After patchy dense fog Monday morning, the weather focus will be a heavy rain potential from Monday evening through Tuesday morning," WWL TV Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford forecasts.
She says much of Monday will be warm and humid, and we'll stay mainly dry through the midday.
"By the afternoon, showers and storms will start to arrive. The highest rain chance looks like Monday evening into Monday night, then again on Tuesday morning as a line of rain races ahead of an approaching cold front."
Cranford says a few strong storms with high wind gusts are possible.
"The biggest threat will likely be spotty street flooding as we expect 2-4 inches of rain through Tuesday."
She expects the rain be gone by Tuesday afternoon leaving us dry the rest of the day with clearing skies.
"Wednesday and Thursday will be dry and pleasant before another batch of rain arrives Friday."
She says that come with a cold front.
"The weekend will be dry and much cooler, particularly Sunday."
