Get ready for colder conditions.
"It will be cool in the 50s all day," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts. "There is a light freeze expected tonight for areas north of I-12."
He ways the Northshore should protect people, pets and plants.
"You do no need to worry about pipes as temperatures only drop to 32 degrees briefly. Southshore will drop into the 40s."

The cold air sticks around.
"The rest of the weekend looks cool and sunny. Mornings north of the lake in the 30s with the outshore in the 40s."
Malone says we warm up next Wednesday and Thursday.
