The forecast tonight brings some cold weather with it.
"A second cold front is on the way overnight tonight, making our last weekend before Christmas feel like Christmas," said WWL-TV chief meteorologist Chris Franklin.
The winter solstice is early Saturday morning, and the temperatures will be wintry.
"A light freeze on the north shore, south of the lake temperatures upper 30s and low 40s," he said.
But temperatures will moderate during the week, and by Christmas Day, the high is forecast to reach the low 70s.
