More showers and possible thunderstorms will be pushing into Louisiana later tonight and into early Friday morning. The good news, though, is that the worst of the storms will dissipate by the time they reach the New Orleans area.
Once the fog lifts later in the morning, we'll see mostly cloudy skies and temperatures near 70 degrees. Some showers are possible earlier in the day, but the best chance of rain comes late tonight. Even then, ran chances remain around 20 and 30 percent with a thunderstorm possible.
Rain chances remain in the forecast on Friday and Saturday with temperatures jumping into the mid- to upper-70s. Our next cool down will come just in time for the New Year, with highs around 62 on January 1.
