Early risers on Saturday found freezing temperatures on both sides of the lake, and there will be more of that for Sunday.
Saturday's highs will be chilly, but there will be lots of sun.
"Our highs temperatures this afternoon will only climb to the mid 40s and it will be a touch breezy," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexa Trischler. "Tonight's going to be frigid with temperatures in the 30s later this evening. Feels-like temperatures make it to the upper 20 late tonight on the south shore and the teens on the Northshore."
The freeze north of the lake is forecast to be a hard one, so mind the pipes. A light freeze is forecast south of the lake.
There is a big warm-up coming early in the work week, and then some heavy rain is possible.
