Humidity to dip down early next week

Jackson Square
Ian Auzenne/WWL

You may see a shower or a storm here and there Friday and Saturday, but don't expect too much precipitation over the next couple of days. Cloud cover may help ease some of the heat we experience, but the humidity will make conditions seem oppressive. High temperatures will hover around 90 degrees through Saturday with heat indices pushing into the upper 90s.

Dry air pushes into the area on Sunday and will stick around through Tuesday. Rain chances will increase slightly by the middle of next week with humidity also ticking upward. High temperatures will be in the low 90s with lots of sunshine.
