Don't expect as many daily deluges this weekend... like we have seen most days lately.
"Our stormy pattern will slowly come to an end over the next couple days as our disturbance moves west," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts. "We'll still see scattered rain around Friday and Saturday with downpours that could lead to street flooding. Temperatures stay in the mid to upper 80s."
He says a weak cool front moves into the area Saturday into Sunday.
"This will lower the chance for rain Sunday and while it'll be warmer near 90 degrees, you might notice the air is slightly drier."
Meanwhile, Louisiana has nothing to worry about in the tropics.
"The National Hurricane Center is no longer classifying the wave in the Atlantic as an Invest and no development is expected for at least the next 5 days."
Malone is also watching a disturbance moving toward Texas in the Gulf, but it has a low chance of any development.
