It will be hot and humid this weekend in New Orleans, although possible thunder showers may offer temporary relief from the heat.

"Expect a hot weekend, and it will be muggy, of course," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexa Trischler. "High temperatures will climb to the low-to-mid 90s this afternoon, but it will feel like the 100s."

Rain chances both Saturday and Sunday are 40 percent.

"Plan for couple of scattered showers and thunderstorms," Alexa said.
