The unusually warm weather sticks around a couple more days before rain moves in for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
"Get ready for another hot day, by April standards," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts. "We'll once again either tie or break the record high today maxing out in the mid to upper 80s."
He says a front will slowly move into our area Thursday and stall out through the weekend.
"With three days in a row of decent chances for rain, we could see some spots pick up over 4 inches."
Malone says widespread flooding doesn't look like high concern for us, but we'll watch for isolated instances of flooding.
The worst of the weather is forecast to stay to our north and west.
"By Easter Sunday most guidance has some drier air moving in, so we could be mostly dry come Sunday."
