Storms are in your weekend forecast.
"Our forecast for the afternoon includes storms, which should bring a little brief relief from the heat," said WWL-TV meteorologist Brooke Laizer.
Brooke said the rain is most likely during the afternoon, when it gets the hottest.
Rain is likely to be even heavier Sunday and to start the work week.
"Tomorrow, our flood threat increases, but it's even higher on Monday," she said.
