The bad news: heat and humidity will blanket Southeast Louisiana over the weekend and at the start of the upcoming week. The good news: a cool front is expected to blow through in the middle part of next week.
High temperatures will hover around the 90-degree mark every day through next Tuesday. On Wednesday, a front brings with it a slight chance of showers and cooler conditions. The high on Wednesday will drop into the mid-80s, but on Thursday, the highs will struggle to get out of the 70s. In fact, that front will send overnight low temperatures on the Northshore into the 50s.
Those cooler conditions will stick around for only a couple of days. The sweltering summer conditions will return by next weekend.
