Pair of tropical Atlantic tropical disturbances moving west
National Hurricane Center

The National Hurricane Center is keeping its eyes on two areas of interest in the western Atlantic Ocean, while Post-Tropical Cyclone Don spins out to the east.

A trough of low pressure south of Bermuda could bring rain to Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas in a few days.

"Environmental conditions are expected to become marginally conducive for some gradual development of this system as it moves towards the southeastern U.S. coast later this week and into the weekend," said forecasters, but the chance of it developing into a depression or names storm over the next week are a low 20 percent.

Farther south, a tropical wave that has been on the scope for several days continues to move west towards the Caribbean.

"Although this system has not become any better organized since yesterday, some slow development remains possible during the next couple of days while it moves westward near 20 mph across the tropical Atlantic and into the eastern Caribbean Sea," say forecasters. "Environmental conditions are expected to become unfavorable for development of this system by the middle of the week."

Chances for development of this system over the next week are also at a low 20 percent.

Meanwhile, Post-Tropical Cyclone Don is moving east-northeast at 20 miles per hour, with 45 mile-per-hour maximum winds. The hurricane center has issued its final update on the storm, which is only a concern to north Atlantic shipping.
