Scattered storms Friday, heavier rain for the weekend

image

Friday starts a pattern of storms. Today will be scattered storms but heavier rainstorms are expected for the weekend.

WWLTV’s Meteorologist Payton Malone says, “Friday will be another humid and warm day with hit-or-miss showers and t-storms, especially through the afternoon. Highs will climb to near 85. Friday night looks drier with a few showers and t-storms. The chance for rain Saturday will be higher through the afternoon/evening. With an upper-level low nearby rain could be more widespread and heavy at times. This pattern will continue into Sunday as heavy rain could persist. There will be breaks in the rain this weekend, but it could be heavy when it's falling.”
