"Our Saturday is looking great, but it will be really hot with lots of sunshine," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexa Trischler.
High temperatures on Saturday afternoon will be in the mid to upper 90s.
Clouds return Sunday with the possibility of rain.
"Tomorrow brings us more clouds, breezy and humid conditions, and we'll see some scattered showers and storms tomorrow afternoon and evening."
