We have some pretty typical mid-August weather for the weekend.
"Expect a really hot and humid Saturday," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexa Trischler. "High temperatures this afternoon will soar into the mid-90s."
Alexa says heat indices should easily hit 100 or more.
"Make sure you keep cool, and we could see a few isolated showers and storms today," she said.
