Temps heat up into the 80s today ahead of the first of two cold fronts headed for Southeast Louisiana.
"Get ready for a warm, humid Thursday with a few showers. Temperatures will climb to near 81 this afternoon. Then a cold front will move in later this afternoon with a few showers," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts. "This cold front won't cool us down too much, but it will dry us out. Friday will be mild in the mid 70s with a lot of sunshine. Another, but stronger cold front moves in Friday night."
He says the weekend is going to be chilly. Saturday we'll struggle to get out of the upper 50s for high temps.
Malone warns to dress appropriately for outdoor activities Saturday night.
"If you're heading to the LSU game dress warm! Temperatures will drop into the 40s by the end of the game."
Sunday morning could be a little icy.
"We'll need to watch for our first frost north of the lake. Temperatures could drop to the mid 30s. South of the lake in the metro we'll drop into the low to mid 40s,"
