After the murder of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, some people posted comments that were tasteless or offensive but still protected by the First Amendment. Lawsuit settlements for people punished over those comments have now reportedly topped $1.5 million. Do we agree that even ugly speech is still protected speech?
