The report found that upon discovering someone is unvaccinated, most singles would instantly reject the person on the first date.
The survey also found several other data points from relationships. For example, it found that 35% of singles said a long-distance relationship was a dealbreaker, 45% of singles said an incompatible zodiac sign spelled potential doom for a match, and 55% of respondents said someone showing up late to a date was a dealbreaker.
Only 10% would leave after waiting 5 minutes, 25% would leave after 15 minutes, and 75% after 30 minutes.
The survey also showed data from past years. For example, in 2020, 72% of singles found opposite political views to be a dealbreaker. The primary deal breakers of 2020 included terrible pick-up lines, living with your parents, smoking, and racism.
In 2019, 80% of those surveyed said not having a profile picture or a bio was a nonstarter with dealbreakers, including long-distance, unresponsiveness to texts, poor hygiene, and sexism.
“From restaurants to movies – and even sporting events – traditional dating activities are limited based on vaccination status, and our members see it as a clear dealbreaker,” Maria Sullivan, Vice President of Dating.com, said in a press release. “A dating dealbreaker varies from person to person and shifts over time. The key to a happy and healthy relationship is finding a partner that complements your interests, lifestyle, and beliefs.”
