K-9 Frank soon will receive a custom bullet-and stab-resistant vest, donated by the nonprofit "Vested Interest in K-9s Inc."
The gear will be embroidered with the words “Honoring those who served and sacrificed.”
Since 2009, the nonprofit group has provided more than 6-thousand protective vests to police dogs in all 50 states.
