A Northwest Side brewery is making a comeback, thanks to a suburban beer maker.

Alarmist Brewing closed its Sauganash taproom in February…and now, Pollyanna Brewing and Distillery is stepping in to keep things, well, brewing.

The Lemont based brewer recently purchased Alarmist, as well as all their popular, award-winning recipes, and plans to renovate and reopen the taproom at 4055 West Peterson Avenue by the end of the year.

There, beer lovers will still be able to order favorites like the Alarmist Le Jus hazy IPA and Crispy Boy pilsner, as well as food from a full kitchen.

It marks the latest pairing in the local beer industry, highlighted by a Half Acre and Maplewood merger.

Pollyanna is planning a town hall for next month to hear what residents would like to see in the new Alarmist taproom.
