Alcala's Western Wear on the west side has been named one of the 50 best clothing stores in America. The family-owned store has been open in Chicago for more than 50 years. The analysis cited Alcala's commitment to keeping the spirit of the Mexican cowboy alive. It's a family business that has "long been popular among Chicago's Latino community for its seemingly endless aisles of jeans, guayabera shirts, belt buckles, bolo ties" and thousands of boots and hats.
Alcala's honored their customers on Instagram, thanking them and saying it's "more than an award, it’s a moment for our city, our community, and everyone who believes in what we represent."
