
KANE COUNTY (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A west suburban Montgomery man is going to stay in jail after prosecutors say he's admitted to abusing several kids.
Michael Farris has been ordered to remain behind bars, pending a potential trial. The Kane County State’s Attorney said, over 15 years, he sexually assaulted several children. The office said it happened between 2008 and 2022.
Prosecutors said there are five victims, they were all between the ages of 13 and 17 when the alleged assaults happened.
According to the state’s attorney, Farris has admitted to abusing four of them. He also said he had sexual contact with an additional five children.
Farris was involved in a train club and also was a Boy Scouts leader.
Prosecutors said there may be even more victims.
