In just days, Chicago has shifted from winter snowballs to opening day baseball – and the rush for summer concert tickets is on.
Jordan Wright with the Better Business Bureau’s Tip-Off to the Rip-Off® on WBBM Newsradio has the details.
This is shaping up to be another huge summer of concerts and events, from big names at Soldier Field and Wrigley Field to Lollapalooza, Ravinia, and Riot Fest. But high demand creates the perfect opportunity for scammers.
Fake websites, social media ads, emails, and texts are being used to steal money and personal information. Many fake tickets aren’t discovered until you arrive at the gate—and by then, the scammer is long gone.
Protect yourself by researching sellers, buying only from official ticket sites or the venue itself, and always using a credit card for added protection.
