(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Police in Bolingbrook provided an update after two people were fatally shot inside of their home on Saturday night.
Officials said 61-year-old Simeon Hendrickson was cleaning one of his handguns in his residence on the 700 block of Dalton Lane when it accidentally discharged. The round struck his wife, 60-year-old Laurie Hendrickson.
Investigators believe Hendrickson then shot himself with the handgun. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His wife was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Police said the incident remains under investigation.
