Toddler drowns inside north suburban home: Report

BANNOCKBURN (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A child drowned in far northwest suburban Bannockburn Monday.

Firefighters and police responded to a home on Half Day Road Route 22 at about 2 p.m. for a report of a drowning.

Paramedics with the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Department responded within two minutes of getting the call, they and police said, and performed CPR.

They took the child to the hospital, where he died.

Lake and McHenry Scanner reported the 2-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a pool.

Police said they do suspect foul play.
