(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Let the cosplay begin.
The Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo, or C2E2, kicked off Friday, and exhibitors say they are ready.
For those looking to channel their inner Luke Skywalker, there's a booth for that.
"We're a custom lightsaber booth, we specialize in combat lightsabers, so that means our sabers are built for full-force contact,” exhibitor Jessie Gant explained.
Actually, there's pretty much a booth for everything at C2E2, including LARPing, or Live Action Role Playing.

“This whole place is about escapism. Its’ about being who you really want to be. Part of my personal goal at least is to make sure you become a better version of you,” exhibitor Sam Foster said.
During visits Friday, WBBM Newsradio saw a steady stream of comic book and fantasy characters and even some dancing droids from the Star Wars universe.
C2E2 takes place all weekend at McCormick Place.
