(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- One of Chicago’s best-known law firms has pulled a job offer to a NYU law student over comments the student made about the Hamas attack on Israel last weekend.

Winston & Strawn representatives said the law firm had rescinded a job offer after Ryna Workman wrote in a newsletter that Israel bears full responsibility for Hamas’ deadly incursion. Workman is president of the NYU Law Student Bar Association.

Winston & Strawn says it stands with Israel and condemns the actions of Hamas.

“We look forward to continuing to work together to eradicate anti-Semitism in all forms and to the day when hatred, bigotry, and violence against all people have been eliminated,” the law firm said in a prepared statement.
