A Northwest suburban school district is expanding its remote teaching.

Educators at Crystal Lake based School District 155 will now have more flexibility when it comes to teaching in person or remote. This comes after the school board reached an agreement between the district and its two unions.

The Northwest Herald reported teachers in the district will be able to teach remotely under certain circumstances, like has been positive for COVID-19 or being considered a close contact.

The agreement also allows district 155 to double its internal substitute work.
