(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Even though it’s the middle of winter, there are still plenty of things to do across the Chicago area. Here’s the latest roundup from WBBM Newsradio’s Rachel Pierson.

--Dog lovers, listen up! More than 200 breeds will show off their tricks and skills this weekend during the Great American Dog Show at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center. Tickets include access to agility demonstrations, a kid’s corner and a vendor village filled with gifts to bring home to your own Fido.

--Start the new year with a little shopping at Edgewater’s Winter Bryn Mawrkets, which offers everything from self-care products and apparel to books and interactive art displays from dozens of vendors.

--It’s your last chance to take in the sights and scents of the Garfield Park Conservatory’s Winter Flower Show: Snow Day! It features geraniums, pansies, sweet alyssum, and poinsettias that create an illusion of a snow-covered garden.

--Take a trip to Hogwarts Castle, step inside the Potions Dungeon, and head over to Hagrid's pumpkin patch. Harry Potter: Magic at Play offers fun for wizards and witches of all ages at Water Tower Place.

--You may have seen his graffiti murals around Chicago, but for the first time street artist Sentrock brings his works indoors. Extended due to popular demand, Sentrock: The Boy Who Wanted to Fly is on display at the Elmhurst Art Museum.
