A man died Wednesday night after he was hit by a car while walking in South Austin on the West Side.
The man, whose age was not known, was walking about 7:15 p.m. on Cicero near 5th Avenue when he walked in front of a male driver of a Subaru SUV and was struck, Chicago police said.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
No one was in custody.
CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
