CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - It’s that time of year again: pothole season. A large one on DuSable Lake Shore Drive caused major car problems this weekend.
Six cars suffered flat tires after hitting a pothole on Lake Shore Drive near Diversey Harbor and had to be towed, according to ABC-7. The city’s 311 system has at least eight recent complaints about potholes in that area. The estimated time for patching is a week.
If you’ve suffered damage, you can submit a claim to be reimbursed by the city. However, the clerk’s office warns it can take several months to get approved.
