(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — As most COVID-19 restrictions are set to be lifted Friday, the manager of several farmers markets said she might keep some safety rules in place.

Elsa Jacobson oversees farmers markets in Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square and Uptown. COVID-19 is still out there, she said, and she wants to make sure her customers and vendors stay and feel safe.

So, she'll consider keeping some safety precautions in place, even if they're no longer required by the city government.

Jacobson said her business increased significantly during the pandemic because many people felt safer shopping outdoors.
