(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A fondly remembered gourmet donut restaurant is back, six years after it shut down.

Glazed and Infused had five locations in the Chicago area when it closed at the end of 2017.

Scott Harris Hospitality Group, which owns the intellectual property and the recipes from Glazed and Infused, is now selling some items off of the old menu from an existing restaurant it owns in Forest Park.

Glazed and Infused donuts are available from Friday through Sunday at Fiore Pizzeria and Bakery on Madison in Forest Park.

Jaysen Euler, chief operating officer of Scott Harris Hospitality Group, said the response has been strong since the donuts were reintroduced on June 30.

On the first day, he said, there was a line out the door.

"The plan is to keep it open," Euler said.

Euler added that Glazed and Infused 2.0 is expected to expand with distribution to festivals and possibly pop-ups.

“I think we're here to stay.”
