Trader Joe's fans in the Southwest suburbs won't have to wait much longer for a new store.
The Joliet City Council could vote Tuesday on a liquor license for the beloved grocery chain.
Mayor Terry D’Arcy, who also serves as the city’s liquor commissioner, has recommended approval of the license for the new store in the Joliet Commons shopping center.
The future Captain, or store manager, said they're hoping for a November or December opening.
Trader Joe's has nearly two dozen stores in Illinois, all across Chicago's suburbs.
But until the Joliet store opens, residents will still have to trek to the closest Trader Joe's in Orland Park.
